Folie Design

Today we had our first meeting with the group for Project 1. We came up with a few concepts for the proposed Folie and finalised it (for the day) with;

• A cable car system hanging underneath the Storey Bridge 
• A circular shaped Folie 
• Two floors; Upper floor where the room is all dark besides the light filtering through small window openings, and a lower floor where you are exposed to all your surroundings in a glass box. 
• Whole Folie spins
• Glass room is first inside the dark room, then the Folie vibrates to 'shake' out the glass box (lowering it) and revealing surroundings.

These ideas seemed quite 'crazy' as it involves a cable car, vibrations, rotations, up and down movement and also standing on glass over a river. But as this was our first meeting we were throwing everything we had into the fire to test it in the future.
